Finance Manager
Why Grasp
Grasp is an AI platform for the financial advisory industry. The $1.4 trillion financial advisory industry relies heavily on costly and scarce cognitive labor. The industry is so inefficient that advisory firms can charge millions of dollars for teams of junior employees, whose work is 90% manual and repetitive. It is clear that AI will automate large parts of this work and provide a massive uplift in productivity.
Our platform uses the latest advances in AI to solve the time-consuming and complex workflows unique to the financial advisory industry. Since launching our product early 2024, we have grown rapidly to support almost 200 customers across 25 countries, secured backing by top-tier investors, and are now scaling our team quickly in our Stockholm and London offices.
About the role
As Finance Manager at Grasp, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help shape the finance function of a fast-growing startup serving global customers. You’ll work broadly with both accounting and reporting, focusing on taking responsibility for the overall financial picture and contributing to the company’s continued growth. Until now, the finance function has been outsourced, but it’s now being brought in-house – giving you the opportunity to truly build and develop these functions. The role includes, among other things:
- Bookkeeping, invoicing, VAT and tax management, payroll, expenses, and receipts
Responsibility for financial statements and annual reports
Preparing monthly financial reports (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs)
Consolidating the Swedish and UK entities
Improving and structuring reporting to the CEO and investors
Participating in projects such as the transition to K3 and later IFRS
Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in Excel
Developing and improving processes and driving ad-hoc projects related to the company’s growth
Working on structure and bringing the finance function in-house, with the long-term goal of building a complete internal finance department
To thrive in this role, you have experience managing accounting from start to finish—ideally as a senior accountant, company accountant, or Finance Manager in a SaaS scale-up—with responsibility for overall accounting, reporting, and financial structure. You have solid knowledge of Fortnox and Excel, experience with the K3 accounting framework, and consolidation. Excellent English skills are essential, as part of the team operates exclusively in English. Experience from SaaS companies is highly valued, and it’s a plus if you’ve worked with Nordea, Pleo, or Wise. Previous experience in bringing an outsourced finance function in-house and building it up is also an advantage.
