Grasp is an AI platform for the financial advisory industry. The $1.4 trillion financial advisory industry relies heavily on costly and scarce cognitive labor. The industry is so inefficient that advisory firms can charge millions of dollars for teams of junior employees, whose work is 90% manual and repetitive. It is clear that AI will automate large parts of this work and provide a massive uplift in productivity.

Our platform uses the latest advances in AI to solve the time-consuming and complex workflows unique to the financial advisory industry. Since launching our platform last fall, we have grown our revenue very fast, are supported by top-tier investors, and are scaling our team quickly.

As part of our core technical team, you will be working on the absolute frontier of AI, building an LLM-based product with very strong customer traction.

Role

As a Backend Engineer at Grasp, you will develop and optimize the server-side infrastructure necessary to power our AI platform.

We are seeking talented individuals to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden. The position is onsite, and we offer relocation assistance for candidates.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Backend Development: Spearhead the creation of innovative backend features that support the seamless operation and scalability of our platform.

• Code Quality and Security: Ensure that all backend code is of the highest standards of quality and security.

• Architecture Design: Contribute to the architecture design and continuous optimization of our platform.

• Product Iteration and Stability: Collaborate closely with AI engineers and data teams to refine and expand our platform's capabilities.

• Evaluation and Enhancement: Develop and maintain systems to evaluate the performance of backend functionalities. Use insights from data and user feedback to guide the continuous improvement of our backend architecture, directly impacting the overall success and innovation of our AI solutions.

Skills and requirements

For this role you should:

• Have a proven track record of successfully developing backend services, demonstrating a strong ability to implement robust and scalable solutions.

• Possess expert knowledge in Python programming, with a strong emphasis on writing clean, secure code that upholds the highest standards in cybersecurity and data protection.

• Have extensive experience with cloud technologies, including CI/CD processes, serverless functions, and other cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
